Set in the lush Scotland Highlands of 1566, Morgan's follow-up to "Child of the Mist" is another spellbinding tale of feuding clans and sweeping romance. Heiress Regan MacLaren marries her best friend, Roddy, but after a disastrous wedding night, Roddy rides out to prove himself to his new bride by raiding the land of the rival Campbell clan. He is killed, and soon afterwards, Regan suffers a near-fatal riding accident that robs her of her memory and leaves her in the hands of Iain Campbell, the man suspected of killing her husband. Their growing attraction will cause repercussions that will put both clans in danger. Morgan's skilled pen transports readers to another time and place filled with honor, faith, and chivalry. A beautifully woven tapestry, her novel will please historical romance fans, especially those who enjoy Liz Curtis Higgs. Highly recommended for CF and romance collections. Morgan, author of the -Brides of Culdee Creek - series, lives in Colorado.
