Douglas presents more observations about murderers and the profiling of serial killers in this follow-up to Mindhunter. Pointers on how parents can protect their children are worked into a section about murders of children. Douglas reads clearly, with variety of tone and emotional coloring. Although he often sounds as if he's reading, the riveting narrative itself helps to overcome this weakness.
